A surprise sprinkle for a friend

We threw our friend, brittany a surprise sprinkle the other day. We usually meet a couple times a week for our small play group and this time we had a surprise for her! Us gals all pitched in to make it a fun time! She was so surprised and thankful. Hadley enjoyed a cupcake and also got SO DIRTY, I had to seriously hose her off... I didn't get a picture of it. My kid is the only kid that had to be hosed off... she dives in dirt, rolls around, I mean, yeah.....

If you follow my instagram, her son is Max (not my nephew Max) and hadley and him have a hit or miss relationship :) We got Brittany matching jon jons for her son Max and also the new baby (which will be a boy, too). She is due next month.

Hadley's friend's birthday party!

So I have a great group of friends who all have kids right around Hadley's age and we've started birthday season! They're all turning 2! We had one in June, July, skip Aug (well mine is), then September, and October.... then hadley will be NOVEMBER! Which I am in FULL complete DENIAL over, seriously. I JUST planned her first birthday so there is NO WAY she is turning 2 so soon. I refuse to plan it for that reason :)

Friend's last flight

So our friends are officially gone now, sad yes I know, not dwelling just wanted to show you the cool things they do for anyone's last t-6 "fini" flight.

Living room complete!

Here is the before shot of our couches. We got these bad boys november of 2006 before we were married. James kept them in his housing in Corpus Christi, TX while he was at training. We split the cost of them and each paid $300 dollars, we got them at the BX. They were microsuede which really are great in terms of stain, most of them just wipe away.

They've been through 5 moves with us and had a tiny bit of sentimental value. We sold them for $50 bucks because they've really been put through the ringer and that's all I felt comfortable  with. They were gone and out of our life the next day after posting. 

But before we could get rid of them, we had to build forts and jump all over the cushions of course! Hadley had a ball, until the fort fell on top of her.

One of the biggest reasons we wanted this couch we got was that it came with the option of a sleeper sofa. I figured, why not. We don't get frequent guests but when we do, someone usually ends up sleeping on the couch so why not have a bed! Hadley and James tried it out, can't feel the bar, so far so good!

Happy anniversary to the love of my life :)

Happy SEVENTH anniversary to the most wonderful husband of all time! We've been together for 11.5 years and we are celebrating our 7th anniversary from our original 7/7/7 date.... WE SHOULD GO TO VEGAS :) too bad we were just there 3 years ago (and really didn't love it haha). But surely this is an even luckier day!
