Since August is rapidly coming to a close, we
should take a look back at to what we've been up to! My sweet girl had her
first day of gymnastics! She's since been two more times and I've had fun
watching.
Her first day, she was the only one in the class.
They had so many choices for days and times and apparently I chose wrong haha.
I really wanted to make sure she had kiddos with her because she needs
interaction. I talked to them and we bumped her up to the 3 year olds and a
different day. Now she has 3 other girls and 2 boys in her class.
She's still kind of all over the place. She is
looking every which way when the teacher is talking and you can definitely tell
the age gap where her 2 year old self comes out over the other 3 almost 4 year
olds. But it's all in good fun so she'll get better, I'm sure. She really seems
to enjoy it and runs out to get started.
I can't say I see her full capability yet, but it's
in there somewhere! :)
We got her a leotard from her gym and she looks
ADORABLE. This was from her second week with her cute piggie tails.
Besides fun gymnastics, we (gigi and I went too)
took Hadley to see the MINIONS movie in the actual theater. This was her 2nd
movie. We went to a food and movie place so we got some dinner too. I figured
the more I fed her the more she'd sit still....
It worked for the most part, she loved the movie,
it was nice and short so that helped, too. She had her minion shirt on and was
dancing when it was over to the music.
Hadley also got a BIG GIRL BED! I can't believe it.
That's basically the last step to officially put her at big girl status. She
even got a fancy chandelier that has completed her room. She LOVES her new bed.
I didn't want "frozen" or princess bedding but I also didn't want to
spend too much money on her bedding because that could be good ideas for her
birthday coming up in November.
So James told me just to go pick out some sheets I
know she'll love and then we can get a nice elegant comforter or something from
pottery barn kids for her birthday. She doesn't sleep under her Frozen covers
but she LOVES them and that's all that matters. Hadley was so used to crib
sleeping with no blankets that it's hard for her to keep these on! Luckily it's
not cold yet so we'll work on it. She has done WONDERFULLY in her big girl bed.
She only got out of it once (she was mad at me for putting her in there, I
think it was nap time). Other than that, she acts like it's a crib and
waits for me to come get her out. She's a crazy bed mover and most days sleeps
right up against the safety rail (which I knew was a must). We are even on a
good streak for potty training too (knock on wood). Now to work on the tantrums
:) (in all honesty those have gotten better too- I told ya she was growing up).
