Merry Christmas Everyone

Merry Christmas everyone from our family to yours! I'm very happy to spend Christmas with our families and make memories with Hadley. She was so little last year and I barely remember her being there :)

Ornament exchange party

We hosted a little ornament exchange party this past weekend and it was lots of fun! I spent every nap time Hadley had all week preparing for it (no joke).  I'm super busy this week during naps doing our homemade christmas gifts for my family (which is why this will be short, sorry!)

We had spinach lasagna roll ups and they were delicious.

I made a candy cane centerpiece.

Reindeer cookies and a nice mason jar cocoa favor for everyone to take home.

"grinch" fruit was also available.

So cute champagne drinks were flowing. We also had a non-alcohol punch that was a real hit (empty punch bowl, actual punch not pictured but it was red). I doubled the recipe FYI.

I got these two really cute ornaments!

Those are edible marshmallows made with an edible marker pen (hot topic at the party). Everyone seem to really love all the attention to detail I spent so it was worth all the hard work! 

Cookie drive

I thought I would share something I thought was pretty cool with you. This base (and I'm sure tons of other ones) do an annual christmas cookie drive. Everyone and anyone can bake cookies and then they're delivered to the single airmen on base, deployed families here, and also deployed members overseas. They even made it into a friendly competition between squadrons.

I did my part of baking 10 dozen cookies (which wasn't much but all I could do this year with my busy bee at home). They also had volunteers sort and deliver the cookies.

Max's visit

My nephew max came to stay with is for a few days after thanksgiving and the kids sure had fun! Max's elf had arrived as well :)

We had to put away some of the walker toys because they seem to be the fight starters :) Hadley was glad to see her new dolly and stroller. 

Max was such a good boy while he was here. He slept great and gave us no trouble at all! Minus the couple of time outs haha.

We've been crazy busy here, trying to get Christmas decorated still and presents organized. We're hosting a small ornament exchange this weekend so that's what I'm prepping for this week!

Sorry I haven't been blogging too much, family was here for Thanksgiving and we gained an extra kid this week :)

Max is staying with us for a little bit because his gigi is away visiting her sisters and other family. We're having fun so far! Here's some pics :)

Sooooo yea her birthday was the 17th and she turned 6! Let's pretend that we didn't forget it :)

Master Bathroom Update

Well the master bathroom is finally finished! We haven't even been in the house a whole year (almost) but all of our renovations are complete! James is pretty excited about that. I still wanted to add a little molding places but I'm not set on it.

I came up with this idea to take a pallet and create a towel hook area (thanks pinterest), easy peasy thanks to James.

We moved things around in there as far as what went on what wall. We had to repaint it due to a mishap I explained here. 

We added baskets and I just need to roll more white wash clothes up to fill the bottom one.

We also added pictures to our hallway. Hadley LOVES pointing to them and laughing. 

I ordered a white ruffled shower curtain to switch out or old one that now doesn't match. It should be so perfect! 

Hadley is 12 months old (official monthly update)!

Officially Stats:

Head Circumference: 17 1/2 inches

Length- 30 inches! (she's grown 10 INCHES since birth!!) and she's a tall gal 75th percentile, I'm curious to see how this pans out

Weight- 20 pounds 4 ounces 50th percentile
I thought she would have gained more based on what she was on the 9 month appointment (19 pound) but who knows, she's still doing well

She LOVES blowing kisses (nonstop) and giving real ones and hugging us. We're having so much fun!
Hadley's ALMOST ready to walk, she's taking unassisted steps but not enough to say she's doing it consistently.

Hadley is still sleeping well 8pm til 7:15ish with two naps at 10 and 3. First naps maybe an hour and second naps usually an hour and a half.


She babbles/talks all the time. Mostly saying mama dada, something that resembles dog, and something that sounds like go go go. Her daddy has also been working on "moo" with her since one of Maddie's toys makes that noise, she does pretty well!

Hadley also waves and signs "all done" and "more" as best as she can.

Hadley loves eating still and wants EVERYTHING we are even if she's eating something at the same time, it needs to be what we're having. She's growing a LITTLE pickier but not bad. She's nursing 4 times a day and also LOVES water. The dr. said she could drink it whenever she wanted even if she chugs it all day (which she does).

She still loves playing with Maddie dog and love loves Bella Kitty 

(mostly because she doesn't see her often). 

She's a happy little girl. Hadley's wearing 12 months clothes but is outgrowing most of them real quickly so 12-18 months or 18 months will be happening soon. She is in size 4 Honest Company Diapers.

Hadley also has almost EIGHT teeth! Four on top and 3 on bottom with one more just about pushed through.

Her  hair is coming in a lot fuller as my sister likes to say she has "luscious locks". They curl on humid days or when she puts food in it. She LOVES the bath still and is as happy as can be, but don't go putting her in the car haha  :) 

Hadley's birthday recap!

Hadley had a fun filled low-key birthday day! James had the day off (because of Veteran's Day) and we couldn't have been happier.

We started the day opening presents and playing!

We got the veteran a free lunch and Hadley was happy to go along. (Notice the outfit change, every birthday girl needs at least 2 outfits for the day haha)

She "blew out the candle" with daddy's help after.

OH, ps. do NOT judge my cake.... I tried taking it out of the bundt pan while it was still warm, impatient, what can I say. Luckily we are making a real FUN (hopefully) cake for when we celebrate later this month (yes again).

Still tasted delicious, no complainers. Hadley even got to use the birthday plate I made her!

Max even facetimed in so he could sing Hadley happy birthday :)

and then Hadley decided to stand by herself for an extended period of time. James' face is too funny :) She's taken 4-5 steps by herself but not consistently so we can't count it..... YET.
