A firefly outside soiree

My bestest friend here Sommer is SADLY leaving me :( I won't dwell on that too much but her husband is getting out of the air force. They are moving back to their home town of Fort Worth, Texas. We've been to Fort Worth a bunch of times while we were stationed in Abilene (we didn't know them yet). We share a love for Whataburger, wine, our inside jokes, and best of all CHARLESTON (they were just stationed there). 

Sommer threw a PHENOMENAL small going away dinner party at her house and it was like right out of a magazine.

I should have taken pictures of all the ladies that attended and I should have taken pictures of it when the sun went down, but I didn't so that's what we got. She cooked some great food and we had some great conversations. 

Us military wives are used to friends leaving us often but we usually get to keep them 3-4 years not just a little over a year. I often joke when I meet people asking them when they got here because I'm making sure they have just about as much time left at a place as I do. If they're leaving in a couple months I joke and say ohhh well we can't be friends then :) but I'm pretty serious haha.

Latest Happenings with baby Colette Reese

Hey there everyone. I've been at my sister's visiting my new niece Colette and also seeing family. We've been SUPER busy and even baby Coco came out for adventures! My sister Jen is doing REAL well and wayyyyy better this time around since baby coco was NOT born C-section like Max was.

We went to my sister's in law's community pool for a father's day party and Hadley LOVED the pool. Especialy the slide (but not this time around as shown in the picture, well right after.... we DUNKED baaaaaaaaaad. I thought it lasted a life time. The FIVE bystanders said it was 2 seconds long but I couldn't get my footing and we both went under! and no one came to grab hadley, i got mad! but she was ok and I was ok and it seriously was 3 feet of water but I was going SOO fast!) She went down several times after with daddy and wasn't traumatized so it turned out ok (me however, I don't think I'll get over it! haha)

we visited the bass pro shop on father's day and hadley LOVES fish, she "tickles" them.

baby coco's eyes open! She's staying away more and more but is a very good baby so far.

I think the new baby cousin looks more like her brother Max than Hadley.... so we'll see :)

Welcome baby Colette Reese

She's here! My beautiful niece is here! She was born after a tiring and long FULL day of labor. Colette was born on June 7th at 11:38 pm. She is 7 pounds 1 ounce (that was my exact guess btw) and also her brother Max's same weight as well. Colette was 20 1/2 inches long.

She's got an adorable beauty mark on her forehead. My friend's daughter has one almost in this exact spot and she tells her it is a kiss from an angel.

Just adorable. 

I mean just so cute! I can't wait to hold her.

Max was a bit shy but they got him to take a family photo (I heard bribing with riding the elevators is what got him to cooperate)

There's Hadley boo loving on baby Coco via computer. Hadley's been obsessed with saying baby baby baby nonstop (she has three baby dolls at home). She got VERY upset when we closed the computer down. She is going to LOVE seeing her in person. We hope to head there soon to get our cuddles in.

Summer fun

Hadley has been having so much fun at splash pads, playgrounds, her sprinkler her great grandmom got her last year, and her baby pool. So take a look :)

I think our next purchase will be a water table,  I have my eye on this pirate water table but it is more expensive compared to others. I've been keeping an eye out on our swap pages, but everyone wants water tables so I can't find any second hand. Too bad her birthday/christmas are in cold months, she still may be asking santa for one.... Christmas in July?!
